The Buffalo Sabres Internship Program consists of Internships or Graduate Assistant positions in various departments across our entities including the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Amerks and Rochester Knighthawks.

The Intern Program will create an engaging, educational and versatile experience building valuable skills and connections for all students regardless of socio-economic background, ability, race, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. 

The Intern Program consists of monthly professional development workshops, mentorships, networking opportunities, assessments and feedback surveys. 

Buffalo Sabres – Game Presentation

The Game Presentation Interns will assist in the implementation and execution of all in-arena activities including but not limited to: promotions on and off the ice, anthems, pre and/or post-game ceremonies, intermission entertainment, handouts, pavilion events and mascot duties for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits and for select special events. 

10 - 12 interns starting in Fall 2024

Buffalo Sabres – Community Relations

The Community Relations Interns will be responsible for assisting the CR department with a variety of activities on game nights and at special events for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. 

3 interns starting Fall 2024

Buffalo Sabres – Media/Public Relations

The Public Relations Interns will be responsible for assisting the full-time staff on game nights and special events.  The position is meant to be an initial experience in sports communications and interns will be involved in a wide range of activities related to communication operations for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. 

3-4 interns starting in Fall 2024

Business Development – Sabres Partnership Activation Focused

The Business Development Intern will assist in the daily operations of the department including but not limited to: day-to-day operational tasks, gamedays, partner activations and events for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, LECOM HarborCenter. 

4-6 game day interns, starting September 2024

Buffalo Sabres & Buffalo Bandits – Brand & Digital Strategy

The Brand & Digital Strategy Intern will work alongside the Buffalo Sabres Media & Content team and assist in the daily operations of the department.  This includes but is not limited to: day-to-day operational tasks, gamedays, broadcast, social media and digital media and game day responsibilities for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.

Rochester Amerks – Game Presentation

The Rochester Amerks Game Presentation Intern will assist in the implementation and execution of all in-arena activities including but not limited to: promotions on and off the ice, anthems, pre and/or post-game ceremonies, intermission entertainment, handouts, pavilion events and mascot duties for the Rochester Amerks & Rochester Knighthawks.
