The opportunity

Delaware North Boston Holdings is hiring part-time Usher Supervisors to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Usher Supervisor will lead and oversee the work of Usher team members at the property.

What will you do?
  • Supervise the work of and provide leadership for the Ushers, Ticket Takers, Elevator Operators and Directors on all public levels of TD Garden.
  • Interact with clients and guests to provide front-line customer service and assistance.  Ensure all facility, guest and employee policies are adhered to during events as well as ensure personal compliance with working terms and conditions in Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Resolve guest ticketing and seating issues.
  • Maintain technology including ticket scanning equipment, two-way radios and other devices.
  • Facilitate the resolution of ticketing problems, seating problems, and guest complaints and call for assistance and report any accidents or injuries. 
  • Conduct in‑event service delivery assessments for team members using company‑issued communication devices.
  • Ensure proper setup of front-of-house areasWork with Departments including Event Management, Security, Guest Services, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics to ensure an enjoyable entertainment experience for all of our guests
  • Assist in enforcing building policies and monitoring crowds
  • Report disorderly conduct and other unsafe conditions or situations to security.

More about you
  • Must have 2-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably within an entertainment venue and/or a union environment.
  • Knowledge of Ticketmaster Access Manager software a plus. 
  • Must have a professional demeanor, customer service background, strong work ethic and be able to handle pressure effectively. 
  • Excellent decision making, problem resolution, communication and interpersonal skills are required. 
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays. 
  • Must regularly be available by 5pm on weekdays and work approximately 60% of events. (For the event schedule visit tdgarden.com)
  • Must be able to walk, climb stairs, stand on your feet for extended periods of time and carry 10 pounds with or without accommodation.

Physical requirements
  • Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift.
