The Seasonal Signature Events & Projects Assistant is a seasonal position with the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club.  This position will support the Signature Events & Projects department in the facilitation of general project & event production. This position reports directly to the Director, Signature Events & Projects.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club pre-game, in-game and post-game activations
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Anaheim Ducks Signature Events & Projects department and the Event Production Team, ensuring team leads and staff properly execute all event installation, production, and strike tasks as planned
  • Schedule and lead necessary pre-event and post-event meetings to ensure all event production necessities are being met
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the Anaheim Ducks Event Production Team, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of event setup and strike, including loading and securing equipment and branding assets, transporting and installing trussing, staging, lighting, audio, and décor, running and taping power and control cables, installing signage, testing and troubleshooting equipment, and striking, packing, and returning assets to the warehouse
  • Ensure the Event Production Team Lead is managing the Event Production Team’s break schedule during shifts to ensure proper coverage and compliance
  • Oversee the load and unload of transport trucks for events
  • Conduct a final event sweep, complete inventory, document key details, and communicate updates to the Signature Events Manager at the end of each shift
  • Maintain, clean, and organize event equipment and assets to ensure they are in good working condition and ready for future use
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure successful activations
  • Work with vendors pre-event and be the on-site contact
  • As necessary, support other departmental ancillary events (i.e. Community Relations, Fan Development, Sales, Corporate Partnerships, etc.)
  • Manage Goal Puck Auctions – responsible for the collection, organization, and selling of all Anaheim Ducks goal pucks throughout the season
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of prior relevant event production experience
  • Experience operating trucks or large vehicles for event load-in/load-out is preferred
  • Prior exposure to event production or operations, including setup and strike, is a plus
  • Familiarity with using power tools (e.g., drills, saws), measuring, cutting, and truss assembly/striking is preferred
  • Experience with handling and setting up audio equipment (e.g., PA speakers, microphones, cables) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is also a plus
  • Understanding and adherence to workplace and event safety requirements
  • Familiarity with general event production, promotional setup, and logistics
  • Knowledge of best practices for warehouse, vehicle, and event space organization
  • Awareness of surroundings with a commitment to maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative, efficient solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • High attention to detail, particularly during setup, event production, and strike phases

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts as needed
  • Able to regularly lift, push, pull, or otherwise move and position up to 75 pounds
  • Able to operate safely and responsibly as a company promotional vehicle driver, including transporting marketing materials and equipment to/from event locations
  • Possess a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record; must be eligible for coverage under the company’s insurance policy
