Pay: Starting at $17.50/hour (DOE & certifications) + potential bonuses

What You’ll Do
- Monitor aquatic environments and enforce safety protocols
- Respond to aquatic and facility emergencies; administer emergency medical care (BLS, trauma response, patient assessments) until EMS arrives
- Perform lifeguard and EMT duties per Department protocols
- Conduct safety checks, complete incident and patient care reports
- Participate in drills, ongoing skills training, and performance assessments
- Uphold DSR values: Rescue Readiness, Ownership, Integrity
Qualifications
- 18+ years old by start date
- Strong swimmer with calm, confident presence under pressure
- Current (or in-progress) EMT-B, NREMT, or EMR certification preferred
- Current Lifeguard/CPR/AED certification preferred (we provide training if not certified)
- Customer service, public safety, or team sports experience a plus
- Must pass physical and skills-based tryout (see below)
Lifeguard Tryout Requirements
- 200-yard medley swim: 75 breaststroke, 50 sidestroke, 75 freestyle (under 3:50)
- 25-yard head-up sprint: under :20
- 25-yard dummy tow: under :50
- 2-minute hands-only CPR: with consistent quality
- Additional medical skill evaluations will be required for EMT candidates
