T3 Performance was founded in 2009 and has since grown into one of the leading youth sports companies in the Midwest. T3 offers a variety of youth sports services ranging from performance and sports skills training to club teams and tournaments. T3 took on an investment in 2024 to help with its rapid expansion plans beyond its three locations in northeastern Ohio to other midwestern cities.
T3 is hyper focused on not only expanding locations geographically but also continuing to improve its services in order to achieve maximum outcomes for their athletes.

Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all accounting processes. This role handles tasks such as preparing and maintaining financial records, assisting with month-end and year-end close, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits. Additionally, the Staff Accountant works closely with internal teams to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in alignment with company policies and accounting standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries (accruals, prepaids, and reclasses) and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records, supporting schedules, and documentation for balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, internal reporting packages, and audit support materials
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making and provide insights into business performance
- Partner with department leaders to monitor expenses and deliver financial insights
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to details
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with month-end close processes preferred
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Early career experience in accounting or finance, including internships or relevant hands-on experience
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus
