About Team Challenger FC
Team Challenger FC (TCFC) is a premier youth soccer club dedicated to developing high-level players both on and off the field. With a strong emphasis on technical, tactical, and personal growth, TCFC provides an elite training environment that helps players reach their full potential while fostering character, leadership, and a love for the game.
Position Summary
TCFC is seeking a passionate and driven Staff Coach to lead U13–U19 local and regional teams. This individual will play a key role in both individual player development and collective team performance while helping implement the TCFC Game Model and Player Development Philosophy across the club.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, strong leader, and positive mentor who is committed to creating a challenging, supportive, and development-focused environment for players.
This position reports directly to the Program Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of assigned team(s) while assisting other age groups as needed
- Plan and lead 1–3 training sessions per week per team, depending on team level
- Execute the TCFC Game Model to ensure a consistent playing identity across teams
- Provide positive, constructive feedback to support player development and motivation
- Recruit, evaluate, guide, and develop youth soccer players
- Collaborate with TCFC coaching staff to develop and execute player recruitment strategies
- Serve as a lead trainer for seasonal supplemental training programs
- Attend matches, club events, tournaments, and other activities as requested
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and support club administrative and operational needs
- Maintain compliance with all club policies and safeguarding standards for youth athletes
- Demonstrate a commitment to continued learning and professional development
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience coaching in a regional league environment preferred
- Strong understanding of player development principles and team management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with players, families, and staff
- Professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive situations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Additional expertise in areas such as Goalkeeping, Sports Performance, Video Analysis, Sports Psychology, Sports Medicine, or Child Development is a plus
Schedule & Travel Requirements
- Reliable transportation required
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability and willingness to travel for tournaments, matches, and club events
