T3 Performance was founded in 2009 and has since grown into one of the leading youth sports companies in the Midwest. T3 offers a variety of youth sports services ranging from performance and sports skills training to club teams and tournaments. T3 took on an investment in 2024 to help with its rapid expansion plans beyond its three locations in northeastern Ohio to other midwestern cities.

T3 is looking for a Business Development Specialist. The Business Development Specialist will act as a strategic partner in maximizing revenue streams and enhancing operational efficiency across T3 club sports teams. This role is responsible for supporting the organization’s growth by facilitating new business opportunities, building strong external partnerships and collaborating across departments to optimize club operations and enhance overall team success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partners with Vice President, Business Development & Growth to manage day to day operations and support Club staff with variety of needs including, but not limited to:
- Revenue generation – new programs, player retention and acquisition, etc.
- Systems support
- Staff needs – payroll, onboarding, performance plans
- Budget creation and management
- Strategy
- Maximize efficiencies and usage of Playmetrics operation system to eliminate usage of other platforms
- Identify shared resources between Clubs and eliminate “waste” through system consolidation (HUDL, Veo, CRM platforms, etc.) in partnership with company’s Chief Operations Officer (COO)
- Partner to create new revenue opportunities and ensure timely creation of programming setup and open for registration
- Partner with Club leadership to coordinate with Marketing Manager on all communications of programs and strategy/timing of release
- Provide budget planning support to Club Directors and Vice President, Business Development & Growth
- Partner with Vice President, Business Development & Growth and COO to execute club-by-club budget creation and implementation
- Partner with HR and Finance to streamline the operation of payroll submission and leverage systems for efficiency
- Partner with Club Directors to simplify process of hours submission and create streamlined and on-time approach to payroll
- Create annual marketing plan for each Club and coordinate with Marketing Manager on strategy and communications
- Manage club CRM process in partnership with COO and Marketing Manager
- Manage onboarding process for new clubs in partnership with Vice President, Business Development & Growth and COO
- Coordinate all new hire onboarding with HR in partnership with Club Directors
- Drive Club sponsorship sales for uniform and locations in partnership with Vice President, Business Development & Growth
- Support Vice President, Business Development & Growth with Club strategic planning on local, regional, and national level
- Collaborate with regional and national partners to synchronize event opportunities and reciprocation
- Identify target markets for expansion opportunities in partnership with Vice President, Business Development & Growth
- Integrate shared resources across clubs to standardize on-field product and eliminate unnecessary new head count
- Engage with prospective partners, affiliations and mergers to increase club capacity
- Maximize brand strategy to benefit all pillars of the Club division – including but not limited to: Club, Training, Leagues and Classes
- Lead efforts in creating synergy across all Club product lines and amongst all member clubs of organization
- Partner with the Vice President, Business Development & Growth to evaluate and integrate clubs as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Collaborate with the corporate sales and marketing team on ideating and implementing new brand initiatives, client acquisitions, and retention strategies for the Club, with positive impact for guests and teammates
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss oversight and analysis
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively, inspire alignment, and motivate others towards a shared vision
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to set clear goals, milestones, and keep teams focused on execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google or related software
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field required
- A minimum of three years' experience in business development required
- Experience in sports industry preferred
