SPIRE Banquet Event Sales Manager

Overview
The Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue from banquets, events, and hotels by cultivating client relationships, developing new business, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales, catering, and operations teams. This role blends strategic sales ability with a passion for hospitality, delivering memorable experiences for clients while maximizing profitability.


Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new banquet and event business through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Respond to event inquiries, conduct site tours, and prepare customized proposals that align with client needs and budget.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of corporate, social, and group event prospects.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals.


Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for banquet clients from initial inquiry through event execution.
  • Build long-term relationships with repeat clients, planners, and community partners.
  • Provide exceptional service, ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded.


Event Coordination & Collaboration

  • Work closely with catering, culinary, and banquet operations teams to ensure accurate event details and smooth execution.
  • Communicate event specifications clearly through BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) and internal meetings.
  • Attend pre-event meetings and be present during key events as needed.



Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including leads, contracts, and event details.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and contract standards.


Qualifications
Required
  • 4–6 years of experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality sales.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
Preferred
  • Experience in hotels, event venues, or conference centers.
  • Knowledge of catering software or CRM systems (e.g., Delphi, TripleSeat, Opera).
  • Local market knowledge and established industry contacts.

Compensation
$45,000.00 Yearly Salary
Bonus Structure Available after 90 Days
