About this role:

The Manager, Compensation & Benefits is responsible for day-to-day support and execution of the USGA’s compensation and benefits programs. This role focuses on ensuring accurate compensation benchmarking, maintaining internal pay structures, and administering employee benefits with an emphasis on compliance. This role will work closely with HR team members, payroll, finance, and external vendors to deliver timely and effective solutions across compensation and benefits operations. 


This position requires hands-on involvement in compensation reviews, salary survey participation, job evaluations, and offer development. On the benefits side, the Manager supports open enrollment, manages employee inquiries, assists with vendor coordination, and ensures data accuracy across systems. The role also includes developing and generating reports, maintaining documentation, and supporting compliance efforts. 


The ideal candidate shows intellectual curiosity, is detail-oriented, very comfortable working with data, and able to manage multiple priorities. Experience with Dayforce is a big plus. 

What you'll do:
  • Compensation
    • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to support salary structures, job evaluations, and pay equity reviews 
    • Partner with HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition to develop competitive offers and compensation packages 
    • Support annual compensation planning, including merit increases, bonus programs, and salary budgeting 
    • Maintain and enhance compensation tools and systems, including Payfactors and Dayforce 
  • Benefits
    • Assist in the administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs 
    • Analyze benefits utilization and trends to inform program enhancements 
    • Support open enrollment, vendor relationships, audits, and compliance with federal/state regulations (ACA, ERISA, FMLA, etc.) 
    • Collaborate with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate benefits processing and reporting 
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Provide analytical, technical, and operations support across all compensation and benefits programs 
    • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor compensation and benefits metrics 
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis 
    • Ensure data integrity across HRIS platforms, with a focus on Dayforce optimization 
Where you'll be: 

This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field 
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits 
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in Excel, including pivot tables, Vlookups, macros and other advanced functions is a must
  • Experience with Dayforce is a plus 
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, benefits regulations, and HR best practices 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism 
 
Level: Manager/5B
Job Location: Liberty Corner, NJ      
Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000
The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications. In addition to your base compensation, the USGA provides competitive benefit offerings for all full-time employees.
