The Broadcasting & Production Intern will support the Senior Director and Managers of B&P in all USGA broadcast administrative functions for Domestic and International rightsholders. This will include International rights sales, ratings data reports, annual departmental reporting, budget planning, archive footage licensing, ancillary programming development, and weekly accounting updates. The Intern will assist the USGA Production Operations Manager on-site annually at the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, and U.S. Senior Open.

This is a full-time, 40 hour/week internship for a period of 12 months, with potential for conversion to a full-time role. This role will be based at USGA’s campus in Liberty Corner, NJ.

What you can expect:

  • Participate in the creation of ratings data and reports
  • Assist Managers in the creation and distribution of site survey reports
  • Collect, track, and trace International Rights sales with Pitch International
  • Maintain live document tracking rights deals, terms, and fees/tech costs for all territories
  • Oversee the creation of PO’s with Accounting
  • Process Legal contracts and Accounts Payable/Receivable as needed
  • Assist with communication to International Broadcast partners on scheduling and USGA messaging
  • Coordinate all Broadcasting meetings, including coordination with Marketing of the annual USGA International Brodcasting party at the U.S. Open
  • Work closely with Marketing, Partnerships, and Communications to develop and maintain annual USGA messaging schedules for domestic and international partners
  • Provide support to USGA Production Operations Manager at U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, and U.S. Senior Open

What you bring to the USGA:

  • Bachelors’ degree
  • Prior experience in sports broadcasting strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
  • General knowledge of golf is a plus
