Summary:   
The Manager, Commercial Analytics will play a key role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization, with a focus on maximizing the value of sports media rights, sponsorship, and fan engagement. 

 Reporting into  the VP of Strategy & Development, the Manager, Commercial Analytics is responsible for leading analytical projects, reporting on the business’ most critical performance indicators, and developing actionable insights that will be instrumental in shaping our long-term strategy. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with other senior members of the team, such as the SVP of Media Rights, notably to support the development of the media rights commercialization strategy on a market-by-market basis. In addition, the role will help manage the relationship with monitoring agencies to ensure comprehensive and accurate data is being received and reported out to our stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Strategic insights: Support internal stakeholders across the business to deliver informative, insightful and action-oriented findings related to commercial opportunities
  • Commercial support: contribute to the creation of presentation materials and other assets designed to support the media rights sales and media commercialization process
  • Performance Measurement: Support the strategy team in tracking and analysing key performance indicators that get reported to the board and key external stakeholders
  • Market Research: Conduct competitor and market benchmarking to inform rights valuations, partnership decisions and fan strategies
  • Trend analysis: Use broad range of data sources (consumer research, digital, social, TV audience) to proactively spot trends and identify root causes and propose solutions to changes in our business
  • Agency management: Manage media monitoring agencies to deliver media measurement and evaluation reports
  • Data Management: Work with internal and third-party data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of critical data points across the organisation
 Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a data or analytics role, ideally within sports, media, consulting, or entertainment sectors
  • Demonstrated experience in applying analytics to solve commercial or strategic problems
  • Experience working with sports-specific broadcast viewership data (e.g., Nielsen, BARB) is a strong plus, but not essential.
 Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and modelling techniques using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python or similar
  • Ability to turn data into rich insight, preferably with experience of using visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBi or similar
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail coupled with the skill to lay out the “so what” of each analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for understanding and monitoring the sports media ecosystem, rights valuation, distribution trends and consumer behavior 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others through data-led storytelling
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment

Position Type/Work Schedule:
Full Time, 40 hours a week. Typical schedule will be Monday-Friday. Must be available for occasional evenings/weekends.
