Who We Are
We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
This role offers a hands-on opportunity to support large-scale enterprise systems while contributing directly to operational readiness for a world-renowned event. The intern will help bridge the gap between technical configuration and business needs, ensuring our systems are accurate, reliable, and ready for prime-time performance.
System Configuration & Readiness
  • Assist in the configuration, testing, and validation of core operational and event-specific technology systems
  • Ensure all system settings align with business requirements for the US Open
Data Management
  • Support data transformation and manipulation across multiple projects
  • Use tools such as Excel and Google Sheets to clean, analyze, and prepare data for system migration or reporting
Business Analysis Support
  • Contribute to documenting business processes and system requirements
  • Translate operational needs into clear, actionable technical specifications
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
  • Create and maintain documentation including configuration guides, testing scripts, and end-user materials
  • Support the development of consistent, high-quality documentation practices across the team
 
Program details:
  • 8-week program from June 9 through August 11
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET
  • Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Westchester Office.
  • Compensation: $35.00 per hour

Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
    Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data cleaning functions, etc.)
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and assist with system configuration tasks
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially in producing clear and organized documentation
  • Interest in business analysis and translating user needs into functional system requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • A strong critical thinker who approaches problems with curiosity and structure


  • An effective communicator who can collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative when appropriate
  • Familiar with web-based systems or platforms
  • Interested in sports or event operations (experience is a plus but not required)
