Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Sponsorship Services/Activation
This trainee position will provide for experiential training in all aspects of the organization’s commercial activities including Broadcast, Sponsorship, Ticket Sales, Digital Strategy and Corporate Hospitality while working directly with and providing basic administrative support to our Chief Revenue Officer. In addition, this trainee position will gain unprecedented exposure to all of the USTA’s Commercial Departments and have the unique opportunity to shadow the organization’s CRO. This associate program will be 2-2.5 years. 
  •  Shadow the CRO on all commercial activities related to the US Open, US Open Series, USTA National Campus and other USTA properties.
  • Responsible for CRO administrative support including coordination of demanding meeting schedule, maintenance of daily calendar, booking travel, expense reporting, phone calls and messages, review and screening of all correspondences, contact list maintenance, office supply coordination and file management
  • Work alongside the Partnership Marketing group to assist in the coordination of benefits and overall activation of the USTA’s corporate partner relationships with specially assigned sponsors including planning and execution of per contract site deliverables and related department projects
  • Provide support for sponsorship agency sales effort with research, proposal writing, financial analysis, and presentation development
  • Provide project support to the Broadcast Operations team in the lead up to each US Open.
  • Provide project and analytical support for our US Open Ticket sales effort.
  • Assist the Digital Strategy group with research and select project support.  
  • Provide support for Team Events and USTA National Campus Sponsorship sales efforts.
  • Learn and assist with the development, sales and administration of US Open Hospitality programs including Suites, Premium Experience and Group sales/service.
  • Support the CRO and Department with note taking and other projects as directed.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or Sports Management from a top-tier, nationally recognized program or institution.
  • Relevant internships in entertainment, sports, marketing or communications background is required.1-2 years of experience in the entertainment or sports industry is preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency in MS Office (specifically PowerPoint and Photoshop).
