The Role
The Player Operations Runner will be responsible for a variety of operational and administrative tasks, in the lead up to and during the 2026 US Open, contributing to the smooth execution of player services.
Dates: Wednesday July 8, 2026 - Friday September 25, 2026
- Provide operational and administrative support to the professional tennis operations and player relations team.
- Assist with general administrative duties, projects, and other various ad-hoc events related tasks as assigned.
- Support the managerial and coordinator team with player operations tasks including office set up, locker rooms, fitness center, practice courts, and inventory of supplies.
- Work with the Player Facilities Liaison on needs in the player areas.
- Assist with key sign in and sign out.
- Assist in execution of player gifting program.
- Assist with US Open champions parties.
- Conduct the physical setup and breakdown of all player spaces, including locker rooms, lounges, dining areas, and practice facilities. This will involve moving furniture, arranging equipment.
- Various miscellaneous tasks during the tournament as directed by the Tournament Director and senior staff.
Who You Are
- Previous experience in a fast-paced sporting, entertainment, or hospitality event environment is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and pivot as necessary in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to identify problems, analyze situations, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact professionally and effectively with players, staff, and vendors.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $21.00.
