New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club - Director
New Orleans · LA
Tennis Coach · Coach · Athletic Director
$100,000 - $100,000 / year
The New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club, the oldest tennis club in America (founded in 1876), is seeking a Head Tennis Professional to join our team. This is a full-time, on-court position with an annual earning potential of $100k+.

We are looking for a dedicated and organized professional to work under a RSPA Master Professional. This is a highly active role, with a requirement of at least 35 teaching hours per week. As with the previous professional in this position who was promoted to a Director role, we are committed to helping our staff grow and advance in their careers.

The Head Tennis Professional will assist the Director of Tennis and be responsible for the following duties:

  • Teaching private and group lessons for players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Assisting advanced junior players on their path to collegiate tennis.
  • Helping to direct and organize mixers and tournaments.
  • Directing all aspects of our summer and holiday tennis camps.

This position also requires off-court work, including billing, member relations, and other administrative tasks, so strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be willing to work toward RSPA certification if not already certified.

Our club has an extremely active tennis membership, with over 125 juniors and 150 adults enrolled in our tennis programs. We have 5 full-time pros on staff and a waiting list for lessons. Our recently renovated facility features 12 clay courts with new LED lights, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and upscale new lounge, casual grill, and private events.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive base salary and a 70% lesson commission split.
  • 401K.
  • Generous health plan.
  • Workday lunch.
  • Holiday bonus.
  • RSPA dues coverage.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
