POSITION SUMMARY
The Cincinnati Open is seeking a seasonal, full-time Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution and operations of the marketing and community relations functions of the tournament and Cincinnati Open Sporting Club. This role will provide essential support across marketing and community relations initiatives, helping ensure content, campaigns and initiatives are seamlessly executed. While this is a seasonal role, there is potential for a permanent position at the conclusion of the season.

This position requires flexibility, strong leadership, and the ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as operational needs exist.

This person will bring impeccable attention to detail and sharp communication skills to the team and should thrive in the fast-paced environment of live events and sports.
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Assist with day-to-day coordination across teams including marketing, ticketing, partnerships, volunteers and operations
  • Create new content and collateral for the Cincinnati Open and Cincinnati Open Sporting Club, including fliers, promotional materials and presentations
  • Support the maintenance and execution of the Sporting Club social media accounts, including content creation, copywriting and community management
  • Support execution of plans and scheduling for on-site entertainment and fan experience, including but not limited to live music, entertainers and special events
  • Help manage timelines, assets and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track and are organized
  • Manage the organization and accurate tagging of photos, videos and creative content and share content with internal teams as appropriate
  • Assist with execution of email marketing strategy and influencer marketing campaigns
  • Ensure content is updated and accurate across digital assets, including website, mobile app or social media
  • Compile regular performance metrics and analytics reports for various marketing functions
  • Assist with the planning and execution of community relations initiatives and campaigns and contribute to an annual community impact report
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in marketing, community relations, social media, digital content or communications
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills for communicating with internal team members, agencies, vendors and more
  • Keen eye for design and detail, ensuring the brand’s visual standards and project timelines are always followed 
  • Quick learner with a proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Familiarity with major social platforms including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Experience capturing and editing photo and video content for social media
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours and weekends as dictated by special events 
  • Interest in and working knowledge of tennis preferred
  • Experience with Canto, Monday.com, and/or Sprout Social a plus
