The General Utility/Dishwasher is primarily responsible for washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans and other wares used in food production and service, properly storing them after cleanings. Also responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and sense of organization in kitchen and dumpster areas.


Tour Café Stewards are an essential and integral part of the success of daily operations. Stewards work closely with Baristas and Chefs to ensure an exceptionally high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Tour Café.

Essential Functions:
• Arrive to work on time in a clean presentable issued uniform
• Always politely engage PGA TOUR Staff, (ex. “Good morning” and addressing them by name)
• Proper understanding of use and care of all ware washing equipment within Tour Café kitchen
• General understanding of sanitation requirements by Federal and State bureaus, food handler’s license must be current.
• Performs general janitorial cleaning, such as sweeping, mopping or scrubbing of floors, maintaining clean drains throughout kitchen, washing production and reception areas, and soiled plates, silverware, cups, pots, pans etc.
• Maintaining the stainless steel of dishwashing machine and dish reception area, keeping it clean and shined.
• Proper washing of dirty dishes, pots and pans, service ware, miscellaneous items, disposal of trash, and completing assigned cleaning projects.
• Effective routine maintenance of all ware washing machines. Deliming dish machine, cleaning all debris traps on dish conveyer and rack conveying machine.
• Proper storage of clean pots, pans and all plates, cups and serving ware. Return clean dry trays, cups and plates to Café stations
• Continually check and remove trash and recycling from designated areas, clean waste bins as needed
• Follow all safety procedures
• Always maintain a clean dumpster area, pressure wash and or bleach surfaces surrounding as needed
• Remove and break down all cardboard from deliveries
• Properly store all cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Assist in food preparation as assigned by Chef
• Proper storage of food and non-food items that are received by suppliers
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to, handle, or feel; and talk or hear,
stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, work with sharp knives and other objects, crawl and walk.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid
• conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
