The Assistant Golf Professional works directly with the Director of Golf and plays a key leadership role in daily golf operations, staff development, instruction, tournament programming, and delivering PGA TOUR–level service to members and guests.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in golf operations
- Registered PGA Associate or PGA Member in good standing
- Strong knowledge of golf operations, merchandising, instruction, and tournament administration
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Golf Operations & Service
- Deliver exceptional service to PGA TOUR players, members, and guests, ensuring a seamless golf experience
- Assume management responsibility in the Golf Shop during peak periods
- Oversee outside golf operations, including practice facilities, cart fleet, bag storage, club repair, and pace of play
- Manage starting times, tee sheet accuracy, and pace-of-play standards
- Maintain professional playing standards consistent with TPC Network expectations
Instruction & Player Development
- Teach private and group lessons
- Develop and support player development programs and club tournaments
- Promote participation in golf through instructional and event programming
Leadership & Staff Development
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising Golf Shop and Outside Golf staff
- Support performance evaluations, employee development plans, and staffing recommendations
- Ensure service standards, uniform compliance, and operational consistency
Merchandising & Financial Management
- Assist in developing and managing the golf operations and retail budgets
- Support merchandising strategy, inventory control, purchase orders, and physical inventories
- Maintain orderly displays and appropriate stock levels
- Monitor labor scheduling and cost controls
Administrative & Strategic Support
- Assist with tournament planning and promotional communications
- Support submissions for industry awards and recognition programs
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
Base Salary: $44,000
