Agency Services: brand and promotional strategy, sponsorship consulting, experiential marketing, hospitality, content, digital, and social media marketing
Property Assets – owned-and-operated media, live sports, culinary, trades and lifestyle properties

Specifically, Intersport is the official management sales, marketing, and operations firm of Detroit’s annual PGA TOUR event, the “Rocket Mortgage Classic,” which debuted in June of 2019. Intersport is seeking to add a Manager, Ticketing Operations (MTO) to lead all ticketing-related responsibilities of the tournament. Reporting to the Tournament Director, the MTO will provide oversight and management of the tournament’s ticket operations including the execution of the organization’s overall strategy regarding all ticketing sales and service efforts both pre-, during, and post-event. This position will have a minimum 75% focus on ticketing year-round with total focus leading up to and during event week. The ideal candidate will have understanding of the sales process, an eye toward the future of technology and ticketing, and play an integral role in creating synergies between various business units, including ticketing, sales, marketing, finance, IT, analytics, and operations. The MTO will be responsible for training and motivating tournament staff, and volunteers on the ticketing operation and service systems and procedures. In addition, this person will be required to collaborate with the entire tournament team on strategy, specifically the Marketing Manager and Tournament Director.

Responsibilities

Lead all ticketing-related strategy, operations, and services in support of the Rocket Mortgage Classic
Manage ticket operations, database, and implementation of strategies for third-party ticket integrations and secondary market revenue opportunities
Develop and execute the most up-to-date, technologically advanced practices related to ticketing and service by combining tournament goals and objectives with PGA TOUR ticketing best practices
Play an integral leadership role in the execution of all revenue-generating and ticket-centric business plans and operations
Direct on-site execution and box office/ticket resolution office alongside ticketing partner and admission volunteers during event week
Assist the Sales team members on hospitality packaging, communication, and execution
Collaborate with the Sales team on Salesforce integration, as needed
Report key metrics and sales reports to tournament leadership upon request
Act as primary liaison between tournament, PGA TOUR Ticketing, and Ticketmaster
Responsible for handling escalated customer issues and escalating and/or taking decisive actions to resolve said issues
Support gathering, processing, and presenting analytics to relevant constituents
Special projects or other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
Two (2) to four (4) years’ of ticket operations experience in sports, ideally within professional golf
Ticketmaster ticketing systems (Archtics, Host, Account Manager, Entry) knowledge required

From two (2) months out, up to the week of the tournament, working conditions become fast-paced, stressful and long hours will be required. Full availability during Advance Week and Tournament Week is required by all staff members. These dates will fluctuate as/if the tournament dates fluctuate as they have in the first three years of this event.
