Introducing PGA TOUR STUDIOS, a cutting-edge media facility spanning three floors and 165,000 square feet. Opening its doors in January 2025, the facility will house eight spacious production control rooms, eight audio control rooms, and versatile studios. With a five-fold expansion in production capabilities, we're gearing up to strengthen our technical operations team. This team will play a crucial role in supporting PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, PGA TOUR international feed, PGA TOUR Champions and Korn Ferry telecasts, original programming, digital content, creative design and more.

Responsible for the planning, coordination, set-up and implementation of technical facilities and resources required in PGA TOUR Studios. Works with all Production and Operations teams to ensure the technical and operational requirements are fulfilled each week. Performs the role of Technical Manager for PGA TOUR Live, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry tour, International programming or other live programs as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience. 

  • Five years of live sports television production experience required, preferably including the production of live golf events. 

  • Technical Management skills are required with experience as the lead Technical Manager responsible for the integration of technical facilities and resources required for live event production. 

  • Hands-on experience working with Production Control Rooms, Audio Control Rooms, Satellite facilities, Fiber Systems and other broadcast facilities is necessary.       

  • Must be proficient working with Microsoft Excel and Word (or equivalent). 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must. 

  • Must be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Maintain organized files relative to the requirements of all events and meet all deadlines

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 

  • Direct oversight of technical operation for each assigned live show produced at PGA TOUE Studios. Works with Supervisor to create efficient and effective. 

  • Responsible for interfacing with engineering, production team and equipment vendors to secure appropriate technical facilities for the successful production of each assigned event. 

  • Fill the role of Technical Manager at PGA TOUR Studios. Provide leadership to the Studios team of broadcast operations staff and freelance crew. 

  • Maintain Technical Manual for each assigned event. Manual to include, but not limited to, all appropriate documentation and information relative to the equipment required between PGA TOUR Studios and on-site resources.   

  • Work with Supervisor, PGA TOUR Studios Remote Operations and Crewing Manager to help book technical crews appropriate for each level of production. 

  • Responsible for back-end accounting requirements such as reviewing invoices for accuracy and coding to the appropriate job. 

  • Work with Supervisor to develop budgets as necessary for any potential Live production opportunities within PGA TOUR Studios. 

  • Communicate clear departmental vision and business objectives to staff members, technical crew and freelancers. 

  • Encourage team to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives. 

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
