The Shop Manager oversees and is responsible for ensuring that our golf cart fleet is maintained and functional at a high-performance standard to meet all cart contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Five years of relevant experience required

  • Mechanical abilities required

  • Advanced training or certifications in various maintenance repair programs and familiarity with developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs is preferred

  • CDL Class A preferred, will train if not held

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Welding experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a policy for cart care, including a preventative maintenance schedule and a battery replacement strategy.

  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance and repair of all carts in the fleet.

  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy in the asset management system to include the maintenance schedule and location of each cart.

  • Manage the Shop team and supervise the staging of loads for the Transportation Specialists so that loading is accurate and efficient.

  • Support for the fabrication, welding and refurbishing for all equipment in the TEL golf cart fleet, including power cables, battery health, and charging capabilities.

  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.

  • Perform basic repairs to manufacturer specifications.

  • Move commercial vehicles between office and local vendors.

  • General facility maintenance as needed.

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
