This role will function as a member of a Human Resource business partner model within the PGA TOUR’s Talent & Culture Department. They will assist business leaders to develop and execute strategies focused on talent management, workforce planning, and employee engagement. This position partners with TOUR management within their assigned lines of business to maintain the TOUR’s HR strategies that foster organizational and people effectiveness. This includes managing programs that run across the broader HR team and serve as the Business Partner with the TOUR’s media team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; and seven years progressive related human resources experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- HR experience working in a union environment required
- Experience in sports or media preferred
- Specialized training/experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred
- Proficiency with HRIS System (Workday experience preferred)
- A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective
- Thorough knowledge of human resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of multi-state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to human resources matters
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Serve as member of an HR business partner team to help align and execute our people/business strategy across the PGA TOUR
- Help drive and support the planning, development and implementation of the TOUR’s Talent & Culture initiatives designed to engage, develop and retain employees
- Plays a key role in lifecycle of employment by being a point of contact for new hires and coordinating their career experience in partnership with the Talent and Culture team.
- Monitor administration of established standards and procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies
- Assist in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, interpret contract language, support management in administration of grievance and arbitration procedures, and provide guidance to management during contract negotiations
- Support administration of contract settlements, release agreements, memorandum agreements, and side letter agreements between the Company and the unions
- Develop and administer strategic and operational HR programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals and culture of the PGA TOUR
- Partner with management to communicate human resources policies, procedures, programs and laws
- Assist with recruitment, including reviewing resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements, prescreen and interview all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers. Conduct screening via phone, video and in-person and manages offer process.
- Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
- Work in conjunction with Talent & Culture leadership and Legal to ensure company compliance with all existing governmental, legal and government reporting requirements
- Use subject matter expertise to respond to inquiries from senior leaders and management on labor strategy related to potential new business opportunities and union-represented employee transitions
- Provide business partner and management training on managing in a unionized environment
- Special Projects or other duties as assigned
