Under the direction of the Director, Training & Curriculum, the Manager will oversee the First Tee Coach Training Program and all major enhancements of the Golf Skills Curriculum.  This position will serve as a subject matter expert and presenter at trainings and will focus on collaboration with stakeholders to meet organizational objectives for the effective administration of the coach training program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Requires a four-year degree in management, youth development, sports psychology, education, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Requires five years’ work experience in a related field or industry
  • Requires golf knowledge
  • Requires three years’ experience in positive youth curriculum development, preferably in the golf industry
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is necessary

Preferred
  • Master’s degree in sport management, youth development, sports psychology, education, or related field from an accredited college or university. 
  • Up to five years’ experience of golf instruction, preferably to youth preferred
  • PGA of America or LPGA member in good standing.
  • A Recognized First Tee Coach.
  • Prior experience leading training programs for adults.
  • 3 years of management experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Support the direction and implementation/administration of the First Tee Coach Program including in-person and online training offerings
  • Manage international coach trainings including training design and logistics, communication and tracking
  • Create new training content to be distributed to chapters and coaches digitally (eLearning, YouTube, etc.)
  • Serve as project manager for planning and executing all enhancements made to the First Tee Coach Program and the Golf Skills Curriculum
  • Develop golf skills curriculum for annual Life Skills and Leadership Academy and support on-site execution of the event
  • Manage Continuing Education Units to support ongoing professional development for First Tee coaches
  • Build relationships with coaches to support their progression and retention through effective communication practices and in-person interaction
  • Develop and deliver of Program Director education and onboarding and support network-wide education initiatives
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
