QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sports Administration, Business Administration, Marketing or Communication
Minimum five to seven years prior office management experience required
Prior exposure to golf tournaments or sports event planning/operations preferred
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience required
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Supervise, support and evaluate Tournament Services Intern
Serve as a liaison with tournament staff, PGA TOUR staff and vendors for tournament services related areas
Oversee budget of over $1M for tournament services areas, as well as financial process, purchase orders and expense allocation
Assist with client services including contract review, client communication, hospitality and sponsorship activation (venue design, food & beverage, branding, etc.), credential fulfillment and special event coordination
Support tournament hospitality program, in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Tournament Services and Operations team, including vendor procurement and management, set-up, maintenance and break-down
Oversee player and caddie experience execution including player housing and transportation, player family events, childcare, registration and credentials
Execute tournament-related events for pre-tournament, tournament week and post-tournament, including Pro-Am, Am-Am, Honorary Observers, Corporate Hospitality Day, Media Day, Volunteer & Charitable Events, as well as any other special functions developed by the tournament team, internal PGA TOUR staff or sponsors
Arrange all tournament orders including apparel, gifting, awards, supplies, etc.
Develop innovative ideas for fan enhancements, hospitality products, sponsorship categories and overall tournament
Coordinate Tournament Services related creative projects with Tournament Marketing
Travel to and support other Championship Management tournaments to assist with pro-am, housing, transportation, hospitality, special events, honorary observer program, etc.
