QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or related technical education required
Three – five years’ experience as an Audio Engineer, specializing in Audio Post Production preferred
Understanding of the fundamentals of audio engineering, broadcast audio signal flow, console operation
Strong knowledge of DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) Pro-Tools, others
Experience mixing in Dolby 5.1 or Atmos
Experience in recording remote voice overs with Source Connect or similar technology
Experience in denoising and sound restoration with products such as Izotope RX or similar
Basic understanding of editing systems such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous audio sources with speed and precision
Familiarity with broadcast control rooms, studio floor audio setups, and communication systems preferred
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Teamwork and communication skills; able to work closely with editors, producers and talent
Strong interest in golf preferred
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
RESPOSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Executing audio post skills as Dialogue Editor, Re-Recording Mixer, Sound Designer and Music Editor
Lead complex audio mixes for all post produced programming
Record voice overs in Studios Audio Booth and/or remotely through Source Connect or other technology
Enhance graphic animations with sound design
Enhance sweeten b-roll with appropriate natural sound
Mine weekly broadcasts and clip audio to enhance and grow golf specific sound library
Audio restoration and noise reduction on source material as needed
Finalize audio mixes to video master
Audio oversite of live content including field and studio production
Assemble and mix pre-produced, studio and live post production elements
Perform sound checks, troubleshoot signal paths, and ensure all audio equipment is functioning properly
Patch and route audio feeds through routers and consoles for recording
Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to engineering through the maintenance reports and assist engineering in locating and identifying equipment problems as needed
Maintain operations within guidelines of PGA TOUR Studios Technical Procedures.
Work closely with the Director of Post Production and Scheduling to allocate resources
Collaborate with production and editing teams to innovate
Work with Director of Post Production to expand and develop standard operating procedures
Evaluate and recommend new tools, hardware and workflows
Maintain accurate records of project time in project management software
Stay current with evolving audio technology and best practices
Special projects or other duties as assigned
