The Associate Community & Public Engagement position will help lead and support efforts that increase understanding and influence public opinion of the PGA TOUR and its tournaments’ charitable and economic impacts on communities where it plays. By inspiring and mobilizing fans, partners, community and civic leaders, and media to embrace, support, and actively promote the TOUR’s contributions in host communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Marketing, or related field required

  • Minimum one year of experience required

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to manage cross-team communications

  • Organized, proactive, self-starter, driven with curiosity

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of year-round messaging, campaigns and strategies that educate audiences to the TOUR’s charitable mission, priorities, and partnerships.

  • Liaise with tournaments/community impact teams to identify, measure, and evaluate engagement and understanding of charitable and corporate social responsibility priorities.

  • Collaborate across tours and departments (e.g., Events, Communications, Player Relations, Corporate Partnerships, etc.) to identify and advance unique and compelling stories and efforts that reach and inspire new and diverse audiences.

  • Assist in the development/launch of tools and campaigns that reflect and and grow the TOUR’s charitable brand and philanthropic investments and partnerships

  • Serve as editor, preparing, auditing, and updating materials highlighting charitable and corporate social responsibility efforts.

  • Liaise and manage correspondence with fans and nonprofit organizations

  • Conduct research/community-based scans consistently for needs, priorities, and activities that bolster the TOUR’s impact on communities.

  • Support (i.e., prep, talking points) and join (when critical) tournament leadership in key stakeholder meetings visits, and select community events

  • Participate in the review and evaluation of charitable requests and event sponsorships.

  • Provide administrative support to CPE department – travel, expenses calendar

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
