Introducing PGA TOUR STUDIOS, a cutting-edge media facility spanning three floors and 165,000 square feet. Opening its doors in January 2025, the facility will house eight spacious production control rooms, eight audio control rooms, and versatile studios. This team will play a crucial role in supporting PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, PGA TOUR international feed, PGA TOUR Champions and Korn Ferry telecasts, original programming, digital content, creative design and more.

This position is responsible for the direct management of all staff and freelance live Audio Engineers(A1’s) for all PGA TOUR produced live broadcasts. This department manager will collaborate with the engineering and live production teams to create the standard operating procedures for all audio operations including the setup of live audio boards, working with A2’s, producers, on camera talent, as well as the audio mixing of all live television production shows. This position will also work as a primary A1 for live broadcasts that include PGA TOUR LIVE, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry tour, as well as others.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or related technical education required.
Minimum of seven years' experience in mixing audio for live programming.
Experience managing people
Sports production background preferred, experience with the game of golf a plus
Expert knowledge of Calrec Audio Consoles
Knowledge of RTS Adam intercom system
Knowledge of the technical parameters of audio signals, including DANTE, SMPTE 2110-30 and AES67
Knowledge of audio compliance standards
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday – Sunday
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Direct management of all A1’s and A2’s at the PGA TOUR including both freelance and staff
Focus on ongoing refinement of procedures, training, standards and workflows of all live audio operations
Commissioning and setup of all Calrec audio consoles based on show needs
Configuring RTS intercom panels based on show needs
Provide audio mixing for live broadcasts as directed by the daily schedule
Responsible for proficient operation of all equipment in the audio rooms
Maintain current knowledge of technical trends in the audio production industry.
Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports and assist Engineering in locating and identifying equipment problems as needed
Maintain operations within the guidelines of PGA TOUR Technical Procedures Manual
Responsible for checking the schedule daily for assignments and call times
