TITLE: Marketing & Event Manager
ORGANIZATION: Mitsubishi Electric Classic
REPORTS TO: Sr. Tournament Director

OVERVIEW:
The Mitsubishi Electric Classic is an official PGA TOUR Champions event that takes place annually in Duluth, GA. We presently have an opportunity for an Marketing & Event Manager for the tournament. This position will be an integral part of the tournament planning, coordination, and overall event management. Ideal candidates will be individuals with event management focused career path and who are detailed oriented, an effective communicator and can work well in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) year of event management experience required
Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software applications
Experience with Creative Design is preferred
Highest degree of ethics and professional conduct
Confident, proactive, creative, and collaborative style that assimilates well within a team

RESPONSIBILITIES:
General:

Work collaboratively with tournament partnership sales team, tournament services manager, operations team, and volunteer leadership

Advertising / Marketing:

Govern Tournament, Title Sponsor, PGA TOUR Champions and partner brand standards
Build tournament advertising, marketing & communication plan
Create content and manage execution for the following:
- Tournament advertising
- Tournament communications (internal & external)
- Tournament social media
- Tournament website
Provide information and manage production for event signage package through tournament vendor
Review and approve internal & external creation of signage, print and digital creative for the tournament
Create tournament week photography & video shot list and act as point person for photographer / videographer

Content & collateral creation for the following:

Partnership Team – Sales Flyers / Sponsorship Deck
All Special Events – Graphics for registration websites, Flyers, Invitations, Infographs, etc.
Graphics for Ticketing Website, Credentials, Parking Passes
Creation of Digital Spectator Guide
Creation of Pairings Guide (send to printer for printing)

Special Events*:

Coordination of the tournament week schedule of events
Management and execution of all tournament special events:
- Executive Women’s Day (Mon)
- FCA Game Day (Tues)
- Kickoff Party (Tues)
- Celebrity Challenge (Sat)
- Trophy Ceremony / Toast to the Champion (Sun)
- Post-Tournament Monday Outing (Mon post)
