The Farmers Insurance Open’s internship program is an extremely hands-on experience where students will have the opportunity to play a major role in the execution of San Diego’s PGA TOUR event held at Torrey Pines from January 20 – 26, 2020. 

The Ticket Services Intern will work closely with the Ticketing Manager on the coordination of all ticket sales initiatives.

The internship runs from November 11, 2019 to February 21, 2020. From November to December, preferred availability is 2-3 days a week for a weekly total of 6-10 hours. Hours may increase as the Tournament approaches.
Please note this position MUST work Advance and Tournament Weeks, Sunday, January 12 through Sunday, January 26, 2020.
All internships are unpaid. College credit is available.
  • Work with Tournament staff to fulfill all contractual ticketing needs for the Tournament and ensure proper distribution of tickets to groups, individuals and FIO clientele
  • Assist with inventory, tracking and on-site fulfillment of tickets, parking passes, badges, and credentials during Tournament Week
  • Update hospitality and sponsorship accounts in Salesforce 
  • Serve as a source of information for spectators, managing ticket-related incoming calls and emails 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, but can also handle independent projects
• Must be able to multi-task and be extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service
• Ability to carry 50 pounds
