The position is offered as full-time employment within HNS Sports Group assigned to be a sales team member of The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren staff, located in Grand Blanc, Michigan. This position will work with the Director, Business Development & Community Engagement and the entire tournament team locally and nationally and will be supported by additional HNS Sports Group staff.
The job description is as follows:
Primary Duties:
- Assume the sales role with a focus on selling pro-am, hospitality and sponsorship packages within the SE Michigan market with specific focus on Flint / Grand Blanc and North Metro Detroit areas
- Actively research, prospect and qualify sales leads using LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo or other tools as identified and available
- Attend networking events locally and regionally for the purpose of cultivating relationships and generating new sales leads and opportunities
- Identify new business leads each year for growth while also managing a book of renewal clients as assigned
- Utilize Digideck as an online digital sales tool to coordinate the sales and marketing collateral for all presentations and pitches
- Manage all sales activities from pitch to contract signatures
- Manage and send invoices after client contract signing utilizing Quickbooks
- Work with Director to manage the tournament sales committee activity throughout the year
- Work with tournament team and other HNS staff to manage client relationships throughout the year
- Assist the Director and activation lead staff in coordinating assets such as hospitality benefits, tickets, advertising assets, on-site branding, catering, pro-am, special events
- Assist the Director, Business Development & Community Relations in managing the title and presenting sponsor’s Vendor Programs, including but not limited to ideating, collaborating, communication with their vendors and securing sponsorship contracts at various levels
- Assist with management of the revenue report, in conjunction with the Director, Business Development & Community Engagement in order to track incoming and contractual revenue
Other Duties:
As a key member of the full-time tournament team, this role will be expected to assist in other event related duties as needed with tournament staff and support staff for the purposes of managing a PGA TOUR Champions event which could include:
- Revenue Generation
- Marketing / Advertising
- Community Events
- Volunteer Coordination
- Operations Management
- Budget Compliance
- Charity Activities (Local Beneficiaries or Birdies for Charity)
General:
- Work to comply with all standards set forth by the PGA TOUR Champions
- Assist with the day-to-day duties in office as applicable
- Willingness to work tournament hours as required for peak season
- Some physical labor and manual work as applicable to event production
- Support other HNS Sports Group projects throughout the year as requested
Compensation:
- Annual salary
- Sales commission eligibility
- Self-Generated Lead - 5% of gross
- Referral and Renewal Lead – 2% of gross
- Title & Presenting Vendor Program Sales – 1% of gross
- Annual performance bonus (measured by individual and company performance)
