POSITION CONCEPT:
This is a full-time, 3-month, hourly position. In addition to upholding the mission of the Southern Ohio PGA Section Office, this individual’s primary responsibility will be to assist with the 2026 SOPGA Junior Tour and Section Tournament schedule.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assist with the operation of the 2026 SOPGA Junior Tour
- Assist with the Southern Ohio PGA tournaments and other events as assigned
- Work closely with entire staff to support and manage Section communication efforts
- Active support of additional Section programs
COLLATERAL DUTIES:
- Proactively support and maintain SOPGA Junior Tour media, including website and social networks
- Assist with the Drive, Chip & Putt
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to work in fast paced environment; work on multiple tasks at the same time
- Willing to work outside for long periods of time
- Should be very personable and self motivated
- Must be computer and Internet literate and competent
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs
- Golf Oriented or Sports Management Background Preferred
- Basic Knowledge of the Rules of Golf Preferred
COMPENSATION:
- $14.00 per hour (projecting 35-40 hours per week)
- Excellent opportunity to gain experience in the golf / sports industry
- SEASON: Summer of 2026 (prefer: Early May thru Mid - August)
- Housing stipend will be prorvided ($200 per month)
PROJECTED START DATE:
- April 2026 (a few weekend days only) - May 2026 (Full Time)
