Responsible for playing an integral role in maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system for PGA Corporation, PGA Management Services Inc., and PGA Sections. This position provides support to the teams that support the daily operations of Workday, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include managing requests, assessing solutions, system configuration, reporting, and liaison with external vendors.   

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Support and maintain the optimal function of all HCM related modules including, but not limited to, Core HCM, Benefits, Talent and Performance, Recruiting, Reporting, Compensation, Absence, and Learning. This may include deployment, customization, business process configuration, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.

Act as a change agent and advocate for Workday, focusing on the enhancement of manager and employee self-service capabilities to drive system adoption and promote strategic use, thereby improving overall efficiency and user experience. 

Serve as the first point of contact to intake requests from internal teams and third-party vendors. Evaluate requests and provide support, escalating as necessary.

Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies related to existing human resources information services and databases, and propose/implement creative solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HCM processes, maintain data integrity, and ensure system functionality meets departmental needs.

Provide technical and functional support for supported departments (People Team, Section Business Operations, etc.). When possible, encourage and empower those teams to find solutions and create internal documentation/processes while providing guidance, support and knowledge transfer as needed. 

Configure the system to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Ensure changes are well-documented, tested, and communicated. 

Play a key role in managing the scheduled Workday Releases, including reviewing new features, facilitating testing, documentation, configuration, and developing communication materials when necessary.

Serve as a Named Support Contact and handle relevant inquiries including maintenance of implementer accounts.

SUPERVISION:

No supervisory responsibilities. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Human Resources or related field,or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

Three years of experience with HCM applications is preferred, particularly in providing support within the Workday HCM platform, along with advanced report writing skills.

Functional experience in Human Resources and related concepts, knowledge of HR principles and best practices, and familiarity with Workday modules such as Core HCM, Benefits, Talent and Performance, Learning, Absence, Time Tracking, Security, Reporting, and Advanced Compensation is desirable. An emphasis is placed on a forward-looking approach to professional development, an eagerness to learn new skills, and a commitment to ongoing improvement. 

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and develop solutions.

Customer service focused, have a desire to provide a great user experience.

Workday Certification preferred. 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have a basic understanding of HR operational processes and concepts, with the ability to apply this knowledge to optimize Workday configurations and enhance HR functions. Proven problem-solving skills in addressing technical issues, with a willingness to conduct thorough research and apply findings to improve system efficiency and user experience. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with the highest level of integrity. Ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly. Proficiency in Workday and/or HRIS and Google Workspace is necessary.

 Ability to travel up to 5%.
