Responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and financial services for the PGA of America. This role ensures financial integrity through general ledger review, account reconciliation, and month-end reporting. Key responsibilities include analyzing budget variances and delivering insightful managerial reports to support organizational decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Prepare journal entries as needed for expense reclasses, adjustments, etc.
Timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial statements.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts; research and resolve account reconciling items.
Assist with year-end audit.
Provide support as needed to Senior Accountants or other Staff Accountants.
Work with accounts payable and accounts receivable areas to ensure accurate processing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree ((B.A.) in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in Accounting, with GL experience required.
Workday Financials experience is strongly preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Job Knowledge/Technology: Must have knowledge of accounting processes and procedures (GAAP) and process flows, along with month end close procedures. Must have knowledge of Financial Information Systems. Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals. Must have knowledge of calculating figures and amounts. Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs. Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts. This includes using AI to enhance business operations and drive innovation, enabling us to better serve our Members and stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 5%.
