This position with the Player Engagement Department provides project leadership and operational support to department leadership and each business function, including programming, coach and athlete development, and field operations. The individual in this position must be adaptable to the evolving needs of the Player Engagement department and develop proficiency in program operations, customer success, communications, technical support, and professional development. Success will be measured by efficiency and effectiveness in all activities, resulting in the growth of department programs and priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Department Operations
Assist the Sr. Director of Player Engagement with department priorities through project management and operational support.
Play an active role in Player Engagement strategic planning sessions, contributing insights and suggestions that align with the department's long-term goals.
Provide customer service support during peak periods for the coaches and customers we serve, in collaboration with the Customer Success Team.
Oversee the Player Engagement Team Vault (internal server) to ensure accurate and updated information at all times, including department documentation, calendar, onboarding materials, KPI dashboards, and staff information.
Oversee administrative functions across all initiatives, including but not limited to:
PDR tracking for all initiatives
PGA Jr. League Gamechanger Award criteria
PGA Jr. League promotional kits
NCCGA Srixon codes
NHSGA high school state championship results
Attend events and serve as support staff for department tournaments, conferences, and events as assigned.
Develop proficiency in using department technology tools including, but not limited to, Intercom, Golf Genius, Looker, MailChimp, HubSpot, WordPress and Canva.
Lead Member-Section Operations collaboration across verticals.
Department Meetings & Activations
Oversee weekly Team Call and Practice Session agendas, notes, and follow-up items.
Play a key role in supporting PGA Show activations, including liaising with stakeholders on spaces and materials, overseeing staffing needs, managing gifting and shipping, supporting the Gamechanger Awards Ceremony, supporting the High School Golf Coaches Conference, and assisting with general logistics.
Lead the logistics of in-person department meetings, including meeting spaces, F&B, staff travel, and all other activities.
Support Spectator Championship activations by overseeing scheduling, planning, supplies, and staffing needs.
Communications
Serve as one of the primary points of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Sr. Director of Player Engagement. Manage correspondence, prepare communications, and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
Collaborate with other PGA of America departments to ensure Player Engagement resources are accurately presented on pga.org, pga.com, LinkedIn, etc.
Oversee the monthly PGA Magazine content partnership, including managing the schedule, supporting the authors, and distributing the articles across channels

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Sports Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Two years of experience in administrative operations, event activation or golf industry business
Sports, golf and/or industry experience preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs. Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts. This includes using AI to enhance business operations and drive innovation, enabling us to better serve our Members and stakeholders. This position requires a high degree of discretion and the ability to keep sensitive information confidential
Ability to travel approximately 20% per year
