Responsible for leading field operations and communications across all Player Engagement products in close alignment with the Player Engagement Consultants, 41 PGA Sections, Player Engagement Department, and the Member & Section Operations team. Success will be determined by the achievement of North Star goals and the growth of key performance indicators for all department priorities.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Oversee the operational and communication needs of the Player Engagement Department overall and the Player Engagement Consultant team specifically.
Develop and implement the department's annual communications plan.
Lead department operational responsibilities including finance, meetings, and events.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, including Media, Brand, Creative, Finance, Marcom, Technology, and PR Firm.
Lead the strategy and execution of projects required to support field operations, including:
Project management for field resources and needs
Communications and materials (outlined below)
Internal working groups
Product-specific resources from the product team
Competitions on-site event support
Create and implement consistent messaging & communications for the field team, including:
Programming materials
Section and Chapter presentations
Town Hall and Webinar Support
SBO Strategic Funding
Player Engagement Value Tracker
PGA Magazine
Create and implement consistent messaging & communications for the Player Engagement department overall, including:
Brand consistency across all programs
Coach & Player registration experience
Coach & Player Post-registration experience - confirmation, welcome, next steps information
Coach & Player newsletter strategy
Annual website content
Marketing collateral, including print, social, and digital
Section/partner/sponsor cross-promotion
Industry activations
Intercom series/workflows
Brand ambassadors
Track the long-term engagement of golfers throughout the programming pathway

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist with the development of the annual budget for the Player Engagement department. Accountable for the Consumer Experience line items of the annual budget.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in sports management, business, professional golf management, marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Seven years experience in program management and industry, PGA of America and/or PGA Section operations
Five years of Team Management experience
PGA Professional preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of the youth sports and golf industries. Strong interpersonal and relationship building with golf/sports industry organizations strongly preferred. Knowledge of Google Workspace.
