The Digital Content team exists to drive positive awareness to PGA of America Golf Professionals and traditional media value for the Association’s commercial program. The Digital Content Performance Leader will assist the Director of Digital Content in the creation of a cross-platform (site & social) content strategy and lead a team in delivering video and editorial pieces through strategic programming, distribution, and measurement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Create and collaborate on a detailed content calendar across several brands & platforms.

Track results and report on key performance metrics, insights, and trends through the reporting and analytics process. Utilize reporting to influence decision-making; make recommendations to advance our business when applicable.  Create and socialize strategic documents that outline our temporal approach to content.

Provide event programming plans ahead of key tentpole PGA events, including Spectator and Member Championships, Media events, and Amateur and PGA Foundation events. 

Live and breathe in the digital golf ecosystem– identifying trends & putting the PGA of America in the right conversations in the correct way at the proper time.

Develop and maintain relationships with Public Relations, Marketing & other teams around the association.

SUPERVISION:

This is a supervisory position responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department. Also, will oversee various freelancers in the creation and distribution of digital content.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Assist with department program budget management including budget tracking, and input into the budget system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A..) in English, History, Humanities, Journalism, Sports Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.   

5 years of experience working at a digital publisher.

2 years of team management experience.

Google Ads Manager experience preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of all digital communication tools, such as Google Workspace (Gmail, G Doc, Sheets, Drive, Analytics), mobile devices, video conferencing, Analytics and AdOps platforms.  Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Ability to create and develop a regular cadence of reporting dashboards. Ability to create timelines and maintain deadlines. 

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
