Building  Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that allow that interface into internal systems.  Most of the work will be making existing APIs more fault tolerant and enabling more third parties to send transactions.  Requires light front end work which enables PGA Staff to configure API data.  The Engineer will help model data between systems and contribute to documentation that is used by other engineers and end users.   

The Engineer will need to learn parts of Workday and the related APIs.  Familiarity with e-commerce or accounting terminology will go a long way.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve API Systems.

Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Lead designs of major software components, systems, and features.

Actively seek out customer and market insights that lead to high-value digital products.

Bachelor’s degree in MIS/computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of experience developing APIs or full stack applications

Prior experience in interfacing with REST and SOAP APIs.

Prior experience testing automation.

 Prior experience with e-commerce or accounting terminology preferred.


Must have knowledge of Node JS, TypeScript, AWS Serverless solutions, API Gateway, DyanmoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Cloudformation. Must have knowledge of GraphQL.  Must have knowledge of Circle CI.  Knowledge of  Google Workspace.
