JOB SUMMARY
The LPGA seeks a Motion Graphics Designer as an integral part of the Creative Department, bringing the association’s visual brand to life across fan-facing touchpoints. This person will collaborate with the LPGA’s designers, videographers, and producers to execute graphics projects that live on digital channels, broadcast, and other platforms. This position is well suited for a designer who can balance the dynamic needs of a fast-paced brand while maintaining the highest creative standards. A thorough understanding of graphic and postproduction workflows and technology is required.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the objectives, scope, and deadlines associated with each design project.
  • Work with the creative team to design high quality motion graphics that deliver against the project objectives and uphold the LPGA’s brand standards.
  • Produce multiple versions of graphics – both motion and still – so that they work cohesively across channels, such as tournament videoboard features, digital video content, emails, and social media. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop compelling visual content for revenue generating campaigns, such as tournament ticket, special events, and retail.
  • Assist in various ongoing projects and support content initiatives with graphic elements and video editing as required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, or related field and a minimum of 1-3 years design experience in an in-house creative department, agency, or design firm.
  • Understanding of principles of motion and graphic design.
  • Excellent understanding of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator; proficiency with Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Knowledge of graphic design trends, including new technology and techniques.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live event environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who can offer a variety of design solutions.
  • Adaptable and quick learner. Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity.
  • Experience with file-based production and post-production workflows.
  • Demonstrates creative judgment based on current trends, events, and platform style.   
  • Must be willing travel, work onsite or remote, and after hours, weekends and holidays in support of championships, initiatives, and breaking news.
