Reporting to: Director of Sales and Marketing
The Creative Content Manager is the driving force behind the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s (HJGT) creative output. This role is a one-stop creator, producing high-quality multimedia content that elevates the HJGT brand, engages junior golfers and families, and delivers value for sponsors. While supported by interns and contracted freelancers, this position is primarily a hands-on role requiring strong skills in video production, design, and athlete-focused digital storytelling.
Essential Job Functions
- Content Creation & Execution
- Shoot, edit, and design creative assets including videos, graphics, and digital content for HJGT’s social channels, website, YouTube, influencer program, and sponsor activations.
- Serve as the lead storyteller for junior golfers and events, creating highlight reels, promotional spots, and branded features.
- Creative Strategy
- Develop and pitch original content ideas that strengthen the HJGT brand, grow membership and tournament participation, and deliver measurable sponsor exposure.
- Build flexible creative campaigns that can be scaled across multiple platforms.
- Social Media Storytelling: Develop engaging reels, TikToks, highlight videos, and graphic content that resonates with athletes and parents.
- On-Site Event Coverage
- Travel to key HJGT tournaments (including National Championship Weekend and flagship events) to capture photo and video content.
- Support influencers and sponsor activations on-site with timely content delivery.
- Resource Management
- Direct and oversee creative interns, providing them with guidance and project assignments.
- Manage and coordinate contracted photographers, videographers, and designers for major events or overflow projects.
- Maintain creative equipment, editing tools, and digital asset libraries.
- Project & Brand Oversight
- Ensure all creative deliverables are produced on time, aligned with organizational goals, and consistent with HJGT brand standards.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sponsorship, and Operations teams to integrate creative work into larger initiatives.
- Special Projects
- Provide creative support for sponsor campaigns, influencer content, community engagement efforts, and annual HJGT events.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Key Qualifications & Skills
· Ability to travel frequently to tournaments (weekend work required).
· Proven experience in sports content creation, portfolio required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Film/Media, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on creative experience in video editing, graphic design, and social media content production (sports industry experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or comparable tools.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling content from concept to completion.
- Comfortable working independently while managing interns and coordinating with freelancers.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to work on tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with social media trends, platform requirements, and best practices for sports marketing.
- Ability to travel frequently and work weekends to support tournament coverage.
- Passion for golf, youth sports, and brand growth strongly preferred.
