Job Summary: 
The SCGA Junior Golf Foundation, in partnership with the USGA’s P.J. Boatwright Jr. Internship Program, is seeking a motivated and passionate individual for a full-time, 12-month paid internship. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in youth development, junior golf programming, fundraising, and nonprofit management within the golf industry. 
 
As a USGA P.J. Boatwright Jr. Intern, you will support key aspects of the Foundation’s work, including membership administration, coordination of golf outings and player development programs, equipment and scholarship initiatives, and general program support. You’ll also assist at practices, community events, and outreach activities. 
 
This role offers a flexible schedule, with some evening and weekend work required. It also includes local travel to various program sites. The intern will be based out of the SCGA office in Studio City and work across multiple field locations. 
 
The is a full time position paying $22.50/hour, and is eligible for company benefits. 
 
This internship is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in youth sports, nonprofit leadership, or golf administration and who are eager to make a positive impact through community-based programming. 

What You’ll Do:  
  • Be a positive ambassador for golf and the SCGA Junior Golf Foundation. 
  • Manage all PYD membership administration, uniform mailing, participant tracking on Salesforce (CRM), and customer service.
  • Provide operational support to our Tournament Series team as needed. 
  • Track membership metrics and support growth initiatives. 
  • Create registration pages for programming activities, including classes, game days, assessments, club fittings, leagues, club outings, and tournament series events. 
  • Upload data to Salesforce (CRM) for support with development initiatives, including donor appeals, giving fulfillment, and special events. 
  • Support social media content creation, scheduling, and publishing across platforms. 
  • Collaborate on audience growth and engagement initiatives to increase visibility and attendance for PYD and Club events.
  • Support development and management of content for all SCGA Junior electronic communications, including numerous newsletters, and digital blasts. 
  • Provide customer service across the entire organization, including answering calls and emails and assistand resolve customer issues in all programming and development areas at the basic level. 
  • Assist with programming practices, playing opportunities and events in the field, as required. 
  • Support and assist staff in other activities, such as golf outings, community outreach, and new program initiatives. 
  • Manage the online PYD store, facilitating purchases of replacement gear and membership cards; coordinates related mailings as needed. 
  • Oversee inventory across the organization, maintain accurate records and up-to-date stock levels. 
 What You’ll Need:  
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or an acceptable combination of education and relevant work experience. 
  • Customer service approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; outgoing and comfortable working independently and in a team environment.  
  • Ability to work under pressure, take in diverse and sometimes conflicting information, and make informed decisions. 
  • Adaptable and flexible with changes in the work environment. 
  • Detail-oriented, with solid organizational skills and analytical skillset. 
  • Knowledge of the game of golf and/or previous golf experience is a plus. 
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, including bending/stooping; able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. 
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in various elements of weather. 
  • Flexible schedule: must be available to work evenings and weekends as required. 
  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel with timely arrival to assigned work locations as required.
