TITLE: Vice President of Sales, Pro Shop Media

LOCATION: Pro Shop has offices in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York. The VP will ideally be in one of these locations.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
At Pro Shop, we seek to super-serve golf fandom by blending golf and culture together. Our vision is to engage, empower, and grow the global golf community through innovative storytelling and a curated selection of products and services. We will combine golf media, production and commerce businesses, aiming to be the ultimate destination for golf enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, where they can immerse themselves in the essence of the sport.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a VP of Sales who has established relationships with media decision makers at major brands in the U.S, and a track record of success; a professional and articulate self-starter with a strong knowledge of digital/social media who is passionate about golf.

We’re looking for this individual to lead and scale our revenue function. This role will own the end-to-end sales strategy, manage and develop a growing team, and serve as a key partner to leadership in shaping how we bring our offerings to market.

This is a player-coach role: you’ll lead from the front—personally driving key deals and relationships—while building the structure, processes, and team needed to support our next phase of growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Ownership & Strategy
  • Own and deliver against company revenue targets, with accountability for pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and overall sales performance
  • Define and evolve our sales strategy, including segmentation, pricing/packaging feedback loops, and go-to-market approach
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Production, and Leadership to align on revenue opportunities and business priorities
  • Translate company goals into actionable sales plans and clear performance metrics

Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 3 sellers, with a focus on performance, accountability, and career growth
  • Build and execute a hiring plan to scale the sales team over time, ensuring we bring in high-quality talent aligned with our culture
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and quotas across the team
  • Create a high-performance, collaborative sales culture that balances autonomy with accountability

Sales Operations & Infrastructure
  • Implement and refine sales processes, tools, and reporting to improve efficiency and visibility
  • Own pipeline management and forecasting, ensuring leadership has a clear view into revenue performance
  • Identify gaps in the current sales infrastructure and build scalable solutions

Client Leadership & Deal Execution
  • Lead high-value and strategic deals from initial outreach through close
  • Build and maintain senior-level client relationships
  • Bring a deep understanding of the media, production, and IP landscape to shape compelling, customized partnerships

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8–12+ years of sales experience, with a meaningful portion in media, production, or IP-driven businesses
  • Proven experience managing and scaling high-performing sales teams
  • Strong track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets in a complex, multi-entity or non-traditional business environment
  • Experience operating in a player-coach capacity—comfortable both closing deals and leading teams
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to zoom out and shape direction, while also executing at a high level
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
BENEFITS
  • Competitive salary and compensation package
  • Stock options
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible work hours and remote work options
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment with a culture of innovation and impact
