Title: Director, Human Resources

Location: Pro Shop has or will have offices in Los Angeles, California; Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; and New York City, New York. The Director, Human Resources will be based in one of those three locations.

Position Overview:
As the Director, Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's culture, nurturing our talent, and driving organizational success. You will be responsible for key HR functions, including recruitment, policy development, performance management, employee onboarding, and employee relations. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of HR best practices and compliance requirements. You will collaborate closely with department heads and senior leadership to align HR initiatives with the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
   - Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring top talent.
   - Develop innovative strategies to attract candidates, leveraging both traditional and digital channels.
   - Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with organizational goals.

2. Policy Development and Compliance:
   - Create and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
   - Regularly review and update policies to ensure they reflect the evolving needs of the organization and foster a positive work environment.
   - Provide guidance to management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and compliance matters.

3. Performance Management:
   - Design and implement performance review processes that drive employee engagement, development, and accountability.
   - Collaborate with department heads to establish clear performance expectations and goals for all employees.
   - Provide training and support to managers on conducting effective performance evaluations and delivering constructive feedback.

4. Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
   - Develop comprehensive onboarding programs to welcome new hires and facilitate their integration into the organization.
   - Coordinate onboarding activities, including orientation sessions, training programs, and mentorship opportunities.
   - Manage offboarding processes with sensitivity and professionalism, conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback to identify areas for improvement.

5. Employee Relations and Engagement:
   - Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees, addressing inquiries, concerns, and conflicts in a timely and empathetic manner.
   - Promote a positive work culture by organizing employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs.
   - Proactively identify opportunities to enhance employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
-  10+ years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a focus on recruitment, policy development, performance management, and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, golf-related industry, or media organization preferred.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
