TITLE: Consumer Events Lead
LOCATION: Pro Shop has offices in NYC and LA, this role will ideally be in one of these locations.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a highly strategic, creative, and execution-focused Consumer Events Lead to lead the development, marketing & planning of small and large scale golf-focused events for Pro Shop’s owned and operated media properties. Events may range from corporate events and outings to consumer-facing ticketed events and golf tournaments. This role will own the full lifecycle of each event and lead the creation events as a new business line at the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Line Strategy & Planning
- Build the company’s events business from the ground up.
- Lead the overall vision, design, and execution of branded events, ensuring each event reflects the identity and objectives of its corresponding media property.
- Develop and manage each event’s strategy, theme, schedule, and programming — from headline moments to detailed guest experiences.
- Translate high-level goals (brand building, community engagement, revenue generation, etc.) into actionable event plans.
- Own and manage the full event timeline, workback schedule, and operational calendar.
Vendor, Partner & Sponsor Management
- Identify, negotiate, and manage all external vendors — including production, catering, A/V, entertainment, and staffing.
- Manage communications with key stakeholders, including venues, local authorities, and talent agencies.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and lead a small, high-performing event team or network of contractors/freelancers as needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal production, marketing, sales and content teams to tell the event story before, during, and after the events.
- Provide clear direction, accountability, and structure for internal and external collaborators.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track success metrics for the event (attendance, engagement, partner satisfaction, revenue, etc.).
- Conduct thorough post-event evaluations and develop insights to optimize future events.
- Stay current on experiential trends, technology, and best practices to keep the event at the cutting edge.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of experience in consumer event production, experiential marketing, or live entertainment, ideally within media, golf, consumer brands, or sports sectors.
- Proven track record of owning high-impact events end-to-end (500+ attendees or multi-day experiences preferred).
- Deep experience managing vendors, sponsorship activations, and creative production teams.
- Background in golf, sports, or events for editorial brands is a strong plus.
