Position Overview

Court 16 is seeking a full-time Tennis Coach to join our team in Long Island City, Queens. As a Tennis Coach, you will be responsible for delivering fun, high-quality instruction to players of all ages, while also bringing enthusiasm, structure, and consistency to the courts. You'll work with players of all ages and abilities helping guide young beginners, challenge developing players, and supporting adult athletes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Player Instruction: Coach players of all ages and levels through private lessons and group classes while delivering structured and engaging lesson plans.
  • Player Engagement & Feedback: Keep players motivated, engaged, and challenged while providing thoughtful, encouraging feedback.
  • Player Evaluations: Submit personalized evaluations that highlight player progress and support player improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend regular trainings, staff meetings, and special events while working closely with teammates to ensure great experiences on and off the court.
  • Policy Compliance: Follow company protocols while upholding a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of tennis coaching experience, ideally with both youth and adult players.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong understanding of tennis fundamentals and modern teaching techniques.
  • Positive, engaging communication style with players, families, and colleagues.
  • Weekend and holiday availability (our programs run year-round).
  • Someone who thrives in a team and collaborative environment.
  • Someone who is passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of pickleball is a plus.
