The Senior Director, Human Resources will have responsibility for the strategy and execution of leadership & development, succession planning, executive assessment, career development and coaching, workforce planning, change management, learning and leadership programs, employee engagement, and employer branding. They will have the ability to architect a talent strategy that aligns the organization with both the current and long-term priorities of the business, while allowing for flexibility as business strategies evolve.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Develop and execute talent strategies that support our mission, core values, service culture, and long-term strategy. 
  • In partnership with our leaders anticipate workforce needs and implement people solutions that enhance operational performance.
  • Lead change management initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Oversee onboarding programs that instill company values and traditions and prepare employees for success.
  • Lead efforts in succession planning, performance management, leadership development, and career pathing.
  • Implement learning and development programs that strengthen leadership capabilities and technical skills.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, hospitality excellence, and employee recognition.
  • Ensure employee programs support retention market competitiveness, and internal equity.
  • Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations issues with confidentiality, fairness and consistency.
  • Develop and update policies, procedures, and HR practices as necessary.
  • Accountable for forecast and budget management for the department, as well as effective allocation of department payroll.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable HR function that delivers excellent internal service.
  • Responsible for overall department strategy and allocating resources to accomplish initiatives.

Physical Demands

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties such as but not limited to preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
  • Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
  • Constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates as a member of various community and/or professional organizations.
  • Serves as liaison between employees and Club management.
  • Attends seminars and workshops for continued professional growth and development.

Relative Experience/Education:

  • 7+ years of progressive human resources generalist experience with a minimum of 5 years in management level to include hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities.
  • Undergraduate degree in business related field; master’s degree preferred.

Required License(s):

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program.

Projected Work Schedule:

Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
