The primary responsibility of the Laundry/Dry Cleaning Attendant is to sort, clean and fold all linens, towels and uniforms, and properly clean all members’ Green Jackets while maintaining the strict confidentiality of all Club business.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Learns the processes and procedures to properly dry clean members’ Green Jackets in a 24-hour turnaround time.
- Communicate properly with Laundry Manager of any issues regarding members’ Green Jackets
- Properly records the cleaning of members’ Green Jackets as well as storing them in the Green Jacket room.
- Empties linen hampers and receives all soiled linens.
- Separates and counts linens.
- Loads and operates washers.
- When washing is complete, loads and operates dryers.
- Operates machinery to press linen.
- Keeps laundry and linen room clean and organized.
- Takes linen inventory and reports shortages to Manager, Laundry.
- Requests laundry supplies from the Laundry Manager as needed.
- Handles all chemicals within safety guidelines instructed to staff.
- Prepares finished linens for transport from laundry to housekeeping storage.

- Constantly required to use hands and fingers to handle or lift items up to 50 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
- Constantly required to stand and walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Checks general maintenance of laundry area and equipment; reports any problems to the Laundry Manager.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Manager, Laundry deemed to be an integral part of the job.
Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
- Ability to communicate in an effective manner to make the members and guests feel welcome.
Relative Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 – 2 years’ Laundry and/or Dry-Cleaning experience preferred, preferably in a club, hotel, or institutional environment.
Required License(s):
- Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program
Projected Work Schedule:
Must be available for a varying work schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
