About the XFL
The new XFL is reimagining football for the 21st century with a brand new, fan-first league that’s giving fans more action, access, and fun. Delivering authentic, high-energy football for the whole family at an affordable price, the XFL offers fast-paced games with fewer play stoppages and simpler rules. The league consists of eight teams in markets across the country, 45-man active rosters, and a 10-week regular season schedule with a postseason that includes two semifinal playoff games and a championship game. The XFL is a single entity that owns the league and all teams, employing professionals at the Stamford, CT headquarters as well as in each of the markets that the teams call home.

About the Role
The XFL is building an internal Legal team and is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal. This position will assist corporate attorneys with tasks and projects related to the creation, review, routing and administration of a wide range of corporate and commercial contracts (e.g. player contracts, business and football operation contracts, NDA’s, consulting agreements, and hotel agreements) for the XFL League Office.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is tested in high-pressure situations and is extremely accurate with their paperwork. You are someone that is a proactive “do-er”, values high-quality work, can juggle multiple tasks with ease and loves to be a team player.   

What you will do 
  • Maintain and administer the company’s contract database and other filing systems.
  • Provide support in drafting and revising contractual agreements, letters and NDA’s with legal supervision. 
  • Managing DocuSign Signature process.
  • Provide administrative support, including maintenance of calendar, copying, filing, faxing, travel planning, expense reports and phone coverage.
  • Provide direct support to the League’s VP, Legal and Business Affairs, and offer a team-centric approach to assist the larger department as needed.
  • Coordinate with various internal departments (Finance, TV, A/R, Football Operations, Digital, etc.).
  • Act as the point of contact for other departments for copies of agreements and information regarding the status of contracts.
  • Create and generate reports.
  • Coordinate and attend internal and external meetings and conference calls.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management and department needs.

What you will bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal/Legal Administrator in a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Previous law firm and/or corporate entertainment experience.
  • Bachelor degree required. 
  • Strong PC/Word Processing skills including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Able to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and written and verbal communications skills (including spelling and grammar).
  • Self-motivated, proactive and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written (including spelling and grammar).
  • High level of professionalism/confidentiality and ability to deal courteously and professionally with internal and external clients of all levels.
  • Paralegal certificate a plus.
  • Willing and able to work overtime as required based on business needs.
  • Team player.
