About the XFL
The new XFL will reimagine football for the 21st century when it kicks off in early 2020. Delivering authentic, high-energy football for the whole family at an affordable price, the XFL will offer fast-paced games with fewer play stoppages and simpler rules. The league will launch with eight teams in markets across the country, 45-man active rosters and a 10-week regular season schedule with a postseason consisting of two semifinal playoff games and a championship game. The XFL is a single entity that owns the league and all teams, employing professionals at the Stamford, CT headquarters as well as in each of the markets that the teams call home.

About the Role
The Manager of Business Strategy will support XFL Seattle’s business in the following areas: team business strategic planning, data analytics, media coordination, corporate partnership sales operations and special projects. The Manager of Business Strategy will prepare team business reports and analysis for leadership, as well as be the liaison with the league office on all things data analytics. Additionally, this role will strategically support the Corporate Partnership business by addressing key areas of the sales process including, but not limited to: CRM integration, market research, partnership performance analytics & reporting, category analysis, inventory & rate card assessment, sales presentation & recap tools and other project management duties as assigned. Lastly, this role will be responsible for special projects related to the launch and continued growth of XFL Seattle. This position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships.

What you will do
Business Strategy
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage business operations, logistics, facility/stadium operations, best practices, account management and analytics.
  • Participate and contribute to weekly executive team meetings, prepare operational budgets & analysis and work cross-functionally with team/league leadership. 
  • Be the liaison with the XFL Intelligence Group to develop and distribute key analytics and reports to XFL Seattle leadership in ticket sales, corporate partnerships, marketing/fan development, content and communications/media.
  • Provide weekly progress reports with identifiable metrics and benchmarks.
  • Assist team/league leadership with business operations reports and budget forecasts, including cost center reports and various analysis on team expenses and team revenues.
  • Lead all local fan surveying on fan experience and sentiment in-game, at ancillary events and as a season ticket member.
  • Support strategy with stadium operations in areas such as: ticket sales inventory, stadium staffing, pricing of concessions and others as needed. 
  • Execute special projects and other duties as assigned.

Corporate Partnership Sales Operations
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships department in creating a deeper understanding of partnership performance by utilizing qualitative and quantitative insights based on company goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the team liaison with XFL enterprise CRM integration, including revenue reporting, inventory management and pipeline management.
  • Research, identify, recommend and manage a variety of consumer insights, market research and sponsorship analytics tools that supports Corporate Partnership revenue.
  • Tell a story using data and analytics in a thorough but concise approach that answers questions of both internal and external audiences.
  • Join both internal and external meetings to help articulate research and analytics.
  • Serve as an internal project management lead in the areas of rate card evaluation, sales presentation and recap tools and partnership analytics.
  • Partner with business owners throughout the enterprise to drive insights, evaluating and identifying new revenue opportunities and inventory.

What you will bring
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with 3-5 years of relevant business operations and corporate partnership sales operations experience. Experience within the sports industry preferred. 
  • Well-organized with attention to detail, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic, fluid environment and balance multiple tasks. 
  • Strong planning and analytical skills with strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
