About the XFL
The new XFL will reimagine football for the 21st century when it kicks off in early 2020. Delivering authentic, high-energy football for the whole family at an affordable price, the XFL will offer fast-paced games with fewer play stoppages and simpler rules. The league will launch with eight teams in markets across the country, 45-man active rosters, and a 10-week regular season schedule with a postseason consisting of two semifinal playoff games and a championship game. The XFL is a single entity that owns the league and all teams, employing professionals at the Stamford, CT headquarters as well as in each of the markets that the teams call home.


About the Role
The Houston Roughnecks are seeking part-time dynamic, enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to serve as Marketing Specialists on their newly created Street Team. These Marketing Specialists serve as key community ambassadors for the Roughnecks at a variety of public events in the Houston area and at home games. 

This position will be responsible for engaging with fans, answering questions about the Houston Roughnecks and the XFL, and collecting data for lead generation. These motivated individuals will also execute interactive contests and giveaways while creating an exciting atmosphere for our fans.

This is a part-time position with an estimated 20 hours of work per week for an initial 10-week period.


What you will do
Enthusiastically interact and communicate with potential and existing fans at Roughnecks grassroots marketing, community and sponsor events.
  • Facilitate activation at events while providing superb customer service and displaying excitement about the team.
  • Distribute Roughnecks collateral and promotional items during events and promotions.
  • Assist in set-up and breakdown of interactive tent and event display.
  • Available to work Roughnecks game days as well as other team-related events.
  • Move and lift objects that exceed 50 lbs.
  • Assist the Marketing Department with various tasks as assigned.

  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Extremely professional, enthusiastic and outgoing.
  • Have a working knowledge of football, the XFL, the Roughnecks, team promos and ticket sales offerings.
  • Ability to quickly and professionally respond to any situation.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working promotional events.
  • Ability to work long, flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Source potential events to attend.
  • Create grassroots marketing initiatives and events.
  • Team player.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in large crowds.
