The Washington Commanders is seeking a part-time, seasonal Traffic Event Representative to join our team at Northwest Stadium.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to both guests and employees, ensuring a smooth and safe transportation experience during events. As a key member of the traffic operations team, you will assist with oversight of all parking and transportation logistics within the stadium's lots. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will contribute to creating a positive experience for all who visit Northwest Stadium.
Responsibilities
· Assist in overseeing all transportation operations at the stadium, including the coordination of crossing guards, greeters, and parking attendants.
· Support the management and proper placement of Variable Message Signs (VMS) on surrounding roadways, ensuring accurate and timely messaging.
· Prepare and organize essential materials such as parking briefing notes, deployment sheets, and DOT maps to ensure staff are correctly positioned at all times.
· Collaborate with Washington Commanders’ partners to deliver an exceptional parking and transportation experience for guests.
· Help manage employee shuttle services to and from Northwest Stadium, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
· Respond to and help resolve gameday parking lot issues in coordination with relevant departments.
· Perform additional duties and provide support as needed to ensure smooth event operations.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent required
· Valid state driver’s license required
· Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Eagerness to learn and take initiative
· Professional demeanor with a strong focus on customer service
· Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills
· Must maintain a clean and professional appearance during work hours
· Strong judgment and attention to detail
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods
· Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Note: This position is classified as “essential,” meaning you may be required to stay beyond scheduled hours or report in from off-duty status to ensure adequate staffing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Previous experience working with a professional or collegiate sports team
- Previous experience in traffic operations management
Compensation:
· Hourly Rate: $24
